WELCOME! Each year Wahine Sailing Series offers a Season of Regattas for wahine skippers and crew. Regattas held in boats ranging from Lasers & FJs to Cal 20s & PH big boats are hosted at clubs across Oahu including Waikiki Yacht Club (WYC), University of Hawaii (UH), Pearl Harbor Yacht Club (PHYC), Pacific Yacht Club (PYC), Keehi Boat Club (KBC), Kaneohe Yacht Club (KYC) and Hawaii Yacht Club (HYC). The culmination of the series recognizes the season’s top skipper by awarding the North Sails Wahine Skipper of the Year perpetual trophy.
To be eligible to compete for this trophy, a wahine skipper must be a member in good standing of a HYRA club. She must register and compete in the minimum number of required races per the Notice of Series (NOS). A wahine must be at the helm at all times, and have all female crew (or at least 50% female on big boats).
Whether you have your eye on the prize, or you just want to have some fun sailing with other Wahine, this is a series for you!
